Mike Hollis

Mike Hollis is a former NFL All-Pro placekicker, health and performance coach, entrepreneur, speaker, podcast host and mentor whose career has been defined by precision, preparation and perseverance.

Born in Kellogg, Idaho, and raised in Washington, Mike began developing his kicking abilities at an early age. After attending Wenatchee Valley College, he continued his football career at the University of Idaho, where he established himself as one of the most accomplished kickers in program history. In 1993, he converted all 68 of his extra-point attempts and made a 56-yard field goal that remains among the longest in school history. His achievements earned him induction into the University of Idaho Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.

Despite being overlooked by many teams because of his size, Mike continued pursuing his goal of playing professional football. He began his professional journey with the San Diego Chargers in 1994 before earning the kicking position for the Jacksonville Jaguars during the franchise’s inaugural season in 1995. He became one of the organization’s foundational players and helped establish a winning culture during the Jaguars’ early years.

Mike spent seven seasons with Jacksonville and contributed to teams that reached the AFC Championship Game following the 1996 and 1999 seasons. His defining individual campaign came in 1997, when he led the NFL in scoring with 134 points. That performance earned him a selection to the 1998 Pro Bowl and established him as one of the league’s premier specialists.

After his years in Jacksonville, Mike continued his professional career with the Buffalo Bills and later spent time with the New York Giants. Across eight NFL regular seasons, he appeared in 124 games, converted 200 of 250 field-goal attempts and made 279 of 282 extra-point attempts. He finished with an 80 percent field-goal rate, a 98.9 percent extra-point rate, a career-long field goal of 54 yards and 879 regular-season points.

Mike’s impact on football did not end with his playing career. As the founder and lead coach of ProForm Kicking Academy, he has dedicated years to developing kickers, punters and other special-teams athletes. His coaching emphasizes efficient body movement, repeatable mechanics, accurate ball contact, mental discipline and confidence under pressure. Through private instruction, camps and virtual training, Mike helps athletes at multiple levels understand both the technical and psychological demands of specialist positions.

His lifelong commitment to performance also led him into health and wellness. As a Certified Holistic Health Coach and founder of Zealous Wellness, Mike helps active adults pursue greater energy, improved recovery, healthy aging, sustainable weight management and better overall performance. His approach applies lessons learned through elite athletics—discipline, consistency, accountability and informed decision-making—to the everyday pursuit of a healthier life.

Mike also hosts the Zealous Wellness Podcast, where he participates in conversations about health, fitness, athletic performance, recovery, longevity and personal growth. As a speaker and media personality, he brings together the perspectives of a professional athlete, coach, entrepreneur and wellness advocate. His ability to communicate complex performance principles in practical language makes him a valuable resource for athletes, business leaders, organizations and individuals seeking meaningful improvement.

Throughout his journey, Mike has demonstrated that success is rarely determined by size, expectations or outside opinions. His career was built through preparation, technical excellence, mental toughness and the willingness to perform under pressure. Today, he uses those experiences to teach others how to develop confidence, remain disciplined and approach their goals with purpose.
